The Role
As an Editor at Metaschool, you will play a crucial role in shaping our content strategy, producing high-quality written and video content, and engaging with the community of developers and builders/founders.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation and Editing: Develop, write, and edit compelling articles and interviews focused on people in AI, Web3, and related fields.
- Video Production: Conduct and record video interviews and podcasts with industry experts, developers, and thought leaders.
- Editorial Planning: Collaborate with the team to create and execute an editorial calendar that aligns with Metaschool's goals and community interests.
- Community Engagement: Craft content that resonates with our developer community and fosters engagement and learning.
- Tech Trend Analysis: Stay of top of the latest developments in AI, Web3, and the broader tech industry to inform content creation.
- Content Strategy: Contribute to the overall content strategy to support Metaschool's growth and community-building efforts.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Professional Experience: Proven track record in journalism or content creation, preferably in the technology sector.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of AI, Web3, blockchain, and the broader tech startup ecosystem.
- Interview Skills: Experience in conducting interviews, both written and for video/audio formats.
- Content Production: Proficiency in creating various content types, including articles, video scripts, and podcast material.
- Editing Expertise: Excellent editing skills with an eye for detail and clarity in technical content.
- Multimedia Skills: Familiarity with video and audio production tools is a plus.
- Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, remote environment and adapt to emerging technologies and trends.
Qualifications
- Experience working for technology news websites or publications covering startups and tech companies.
- Background in creating content for developer audiences or technical communities.
- Familiarity with AI and Web3 technologies and their applications.
